Welcome to the new and improved Job Shadow Day 2006 website! This updated and more interactive site has been made possible through the support of Nelnet!

The National Job Shadow Day initiative kicks off on Thursday, February 2, 2006 - Groundhog Day - and will continue throughout the year. Job Shadow allows young people to “job shadow” a career mentor in his or her place of work. In 2006, as many as 1 million students and 100,000 employers are expected to participate in Job Shadow ing.

The goal of this site is to provide an online resource for your Job Shadow efforts. Included is an easy-to-use “How To” Guide that you can either download electronically or order through our toll free number. In addition, by registering for the Job Shadow Day E-Xtra newsletter, you can get regular updates on Job Shadow activities occurring around the country!
