January 27, 2004
New Virtual Job Shadow s on the Way!
February 2nd will mark the arrival of new virtual “career” mentors on the Virtual Job Shadow site! New shadows include a school counselor, as well as an Advertising Creative Director and a Manager of Promotions and Events; both with Best Buy. Also, the latest success with NASA’s Opportunity Mars Rover will only increase students’ interest in Kobie Boykins, Mechanical Engineer with the NASA Mars Rover Mission, who is already profiled as a Virtual Job Shadow !
Virtual Job Shadow is a great way to prepare your students for more traditional Job Shadow experiences! You can use Virtual Job Shadow www.jobshadow.org as a way for your students to do research ahead of their Job Shadow Day activities, or to reinforce what they have just experienced after a traditional shadowing event!
